    This member only event will mark our first "salon": a smaller, less formal gathering focused on discussion and enlightenment in a more intimate atmosphere.

    This salon will feature Dr. Richard Lobban WACRI member and Professor of African Security, Naval War College" who will update us on the latest progress in defeating ISIS and lead a discussion on whether ISIS' days are truly numbered and other questions such as whether the US is just doing al-Qa'eda a favor by getting rid of their rival?    

    There will be a short presentation and then time to share views, discuss, and casually dine with fellow members and their guests.

    This is a free event, but donations of any amount are appreciated to help defer our costs.  Food and beverages are provided. BYOB for wine, beer and your favorite cocktail.

    Registrations are limited to 25 people so sign up early.

    Acclaimed author Peter Kornbluh and nationally recognized Cuba expert will give us a presentation on the changing United States policies towards Cuba and the potential impact on the Cuban people.

    He will discuss the topic of his recent book "Back Channel to Cuba: The Hidden History of Negotiations Between Washington and Havana."

    On October 19th Peter Singer from MIT will talk about the potential for breakdowns in the US and Global financial system. This will be held overlooking the water at the Squantum Association in East Providence.

    Drones and spy cameras that look like flies are just the tip of the robotic iceberg being used by the military to give us an advantage in war and save the lives of American soldiers.

    Professor Jackson of the Naval War College will show us some of the high tech machines being used today and give us a glimpse into the future use of these technological marvels.
